The “Blue Light” & Pre-Sleep Ritual Audit

“Light is the primary zeitgeber (time-giver) for the human biological clock. Yet, modern environments are saturated with ‘junk light’—high-intensity, short-wavelength blue light that mimics eternal noon. The Divinity® Research Team is auditing the ‘Phototoxic Load’ of the modern bedroom.

We hypothesize that the ubiquity of LED lighting and backlit displays has created a state of ‘Chronic Circadian Confusion.’ This study aims to quantify how the specific spectral composition of pre-sleep environments correlates with Sleep Latency (time to fall asleep) and REM fragmentation, proving that light hygiene is as critical as nutritional hygiene.”
